How to Carve a Halloween Pumpkin!
Happy Halloween, everyone!
If you live in the US, it is Halloween day and most people will be trick or treating, and carving a pumpkin for decoration.
We will show you the steps to carve your own Halloween pumpkin!
Step 1: Buy a pumpkin with a shape that will work with the image you wanted to carve. Pumpkins come in different shapes and sizes, so make sure you know what image you want to do, and choose your pumpkin accordingly. For example: we wanted to do Iron Man helmet, so we bought a pumpkin that’s long and tall, instead of short and round.
Step 2: Draw the image on your pumpkin. We would say, this step is probably the most difficult step. We didn’t find any cutouts for the images we wanted, so we had to hand drew them on our pumpkin.
Step 3: Cut open the top of the pumpkin and gut out the inside of the pumpkin. This step is the final preparation step before the carving begins. So prepare a cake pan or any type of container that can be used to keep all the pumpkin seeds and the meat of the pumpkin.
Step 4: Begin carving! One piece of advice on this step is to always make sure to carve the inside patterns first before carving the outside ones. This is due to the fact that if you carve the outside ones first, you won’t have enough support when you carve the inside patterns, and your pumpkin will break. Our Iron Man pumpkin broke because we carved the outside first! Sad day, we know. But, we did pretty well for Mickey!
Step 5: Light a candle and put the top part back on the pumpkin to close it.
Thanks for tuning in today, and Happy Halloween!
Stay safe and healthy!
