Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Ninja Elite Series Leonardo in Disguise Review
If you grew up in the 80s and 90s, then you are more than likely a TMNT fan like us! From its epic theme song, to the awesome lineup of the action figures, it’s hard not to like them as kids!
Recently, Playmates released (or shall we say, re-released) some of the iconic and classic action figures from the 80s. Playmates also introduced this new line called TMNT Ninja Elite Series, which is a 6″ TMNT action figures that are based from the 1990’s blockbuster movie:
This action figure has 34 points of articulation. Thirty four! It sounds and looks pretty amazing so we had to get one for ourselves.
So far, Leonardo and Michelangelo are the only 2 turtles that are released.
Let’s take a look!
The packaging is pretty neat. The only drawback is Playmates used a regular scotch tape as the seal!
Other than that, we don’t have any other complaints…lol.
Out of the box:
The figure is zip tied nicely on the plastic piece. You will need a pair of wire cutters to cut them without damaging the figure.
The details on this figure is simply amazing. Leo comes with a trench coat and a fedora hat, and a pair of his katanas.
Before we got our hands on this figure, we were so curious to know if the trench coat and the fedora hat can be removed to reveal the real ninja turtle. When we finally got this figure, we were not disappointed at all!
Leo’s twin katanas come with the scabbard that can be attached to his shell. When Leo needs to put his trench coat back on, the scabbard needs to be removed from his shell.
Check out the hands and feet of this figure. Each finger can move independently of each other. Pretty insane!
This TMNT line is probably the coolest one we have had so far. We wish we had these amazing figures when we were growing up!
